The most common uses for DOM tubing is machinery, hydraulics, Automotive Drive Shafts/Steering Column Assemblies, motorcycle frames, bearings, and much more. Of course, these are just a few examples of what it is used for. This type of tubing creates a seamless connection, unlike a welded tube.

Delivery conditions

Tube has no further heat treatment after cold drawn, this condition has high strength and low elongation, giving a harder but brittle condition. Good for Straight tube/cylinder not suitable for bending or forming processes

Tube has a heat treatment process that exceeds the normalization temperature, resetting all residual stress and normalizing the weld area.

Tube has a low temperature heat treatment after cold drawing process, relieving some stress maintaining some of the high strength but a bit higher formability.

Tube has a high temperature heat treatment after cold drawing process, softening the material to have better formability but lower tensile and hardness.

Tube has a high temperature heat treatment with a controlled atmosphere furnace, after cold drawing process, softening the material to have better formability but lower tensile and hardness. This process maintains the surface condition and gives a bright finish.

Material is pickled after cold drawing process to leave a clean surface without phosphate or lubricant layered, then the tube is coated with rust preventive oil.
